Building a good character can help you make good choices, develop self-esteem, and become a responsible and caring individual. Character can vary from person to person and can be specific to an individual. A person’s character is determined by how they think, feel, react, and behave.
To build a good character, learn more about the Six Pillars of Character:
- Trustworthiness – Be honest, loyal, and keep your promises.
- Respect – follow the golden rule and be considerate of others’ feelings.
- Responsibility – Be accountable for your words, actions, and attitudes.
- Fairness – Play by the rules and don’t take advantage of others.
- Caring – Be kind, compassionate, and forgive others.
- Citizenship – Do your share to make your home, school, and community better.
